So today is Christmas, & what have I done?? Yeah, I don't know the rest of that, but you get the idea. I usually dread Christmas time. I avoid the malls & stay in. But something was different this year, I was actually at a store last Monday & wasn't stressed. I enjoyed being there. I checked to make sure I wasn't getting a fever. Maybe it was cause I was done my shopping & there was no rush. Whatever it was though.....I hope it happens next year.
Kids opened gifts, & received more than they really needed. I was lucky enough to get the most amazing camera. The one I have been dreaming of & drooling over for about a month now. We actually got something for my father that he wanted & liked. I cooked dinner & was complemented on it. (Usually I get the "burnt offerings" remark from my dad) All in all, a great day. I enjoyed having my family here, & cooking for them. Maybe I'll offer to be on call EVERY year. LOL
Tomorrow Jared's parents are coming down, with his sister & her baby. Another busy day is planned. The boys will get to open more gifts, & will probably be another tiring, but enjoyable day.
Now I am off to bed to try to recharge for tomorrow.

The Big Day
So I got off work early. Had my supervisor come in to relieve me so that I could get to the courthouse on time. AND he has the nerve to ask for an adjournment!! HELLO!! You brought the matter up, you asked for this.....YOU should have been ready. So I explained that I had to take time off work & the Judge agreed to adjourn the matter with conditions!! This judge was amazing. He wasn't falling for his act. I was awarded $100 in costs & that needs to be paid before my ex can bring this back to court. He also needs to to file anything that he has not filed to comply with any previous court orders. I wish there was a way to request a judge, because I would request this one again. Sooooooo......MERRY CHRISTMAS to all. I know I'll have one now.

Upcoming Court
So, on the 6th of December I received in the mail documents from my ex-husband. He is once again taking me back to court to ask for access to the boys. This is the 5th time in almost 5 years, its getting quite tiring.
Just to give some background.....he was charged not once, but 3 times, during our marriage for assault. He was given 6 visits in the summer of '06 but only made it to 3 of them. After that (Oct/Nov 06) he was granted reasonable access on reasonable notice & never once exercised it. In 09 I was once again brought back to court with him saying that I was denying him access, but he NEVER tried to arrange anything. At that point he agreed to not have access if I agreed to not ask for child support. NOW after all this, he wants access. He states....the child is of the age now that it would be beneficial to the child to have his father around. HELLO!!! What about the last 4 years of his life?? It was barely 6 months ago when he stated he doesn't have the financial means to commit to a regular schedule for visits.
Anyway, court is tomorrow. I can show 3-4 mistakes made by him when he filed his paperwork for court. A big one.....I NEVER got 30 days to file my response. So my partner & I are going into court tomorrow & we're hoping for a judgement in our favor. If not, maybe the courts will adjourn it all til the new year & by then maybe my ex will have lost interest in persuing this. Stay tuned.....will give updates tomorrow. Wish me luck.

The first day of a new month. Always exciting, starting a new page in the day planner, its like a fresh start!! My birthday is coming up, yeah. Whooopie another year older....what's that I see? Oh, yeah, another wrinkle. Oops, there's a grey hair. How am I supposed to dye that?? Oh, well, I should accept getting older with some grace.
Puppies are just over 6 weeks old now. All are spoken for, except nobody wanted our little Penelope. So we are keeping her. Jared is going to find it difficult to give the puppies away, as will I. The puppies are getting so big, & they are getting into everything. Time to puppy-proof the house. They tend to get 'stuck' under the couch, & then they whine cause they can't get out. Oh, the joy of having puppies.

I spent Saturday with a great friend, We spent the day scrappin', & had a blast. I completed some L/O's (which I will post soon). I also made another tag, thanks to Tim Holtz for his awesome ideas!! Now I want to complete a tag for each puppy to go along with them to their new homes. Also to keep one for myself so I can remember them. Not that I'll ever forget my grandpuppies. LOL But it would be nice to have a record of the date, time & what they weighed at birth. Hmmmm, I'm going to find it hard to give the puppies to their new owners.
Love & Hugs...

So I've been MIA
Sorry but life got the better of me, & blogging took a back seat. So its now September, 3 weeks into the school year, scouting is in full swing, & I get sick.
Updates.....we have had puppies. Our loved & spoiled shihtzu, Bisskit, is a mommy of 5 beautiful girls. She gave birth exactly one week ago, & is a natural mother. The labor & delivery was very easy for her, & she cleaned her babies like an old pro.

Ain't they cute?? Three are spoken for, so I need to find home for 2 of them. & I can't wait to start scrapping the pics of them.
I go in for more tests tomorrow. I thought a hyterectomy meant no more. I was wrong. Not the first time nor will it be the last. However now I am questioning the decision to have the surgery. If it didn't get rid of ALL the cells, why did I have it done.? So once again I am an emotional wreck.
I mentioned scouting is in full swing....well so is the popcorn campaign. YEAH!! Daniel is once again all gung ho about selling lots. Which usually means that J & I are on the go with him every night, door to door, but if he's excited about it....then we are going to support him!

March 31
3 weeks post-hysterectomy as of tomorrow. 3 weeks of pain, crying, rages among other emotions. The kids are acting normal, except a little bit (very little) more helpful. I am bored stiff, but on an up note.....I got some scrappin done. Being off of work gives me time to search the web for new scrappin sites & techniques. I am so happy that I get to read Tim Holtz's blog more often. & I've learned about so many new & exciting techniques that I can't wait to try them!!
Ever notice how when you are good at 'keeping it all together' that ppl expect it from you even though you can't do it?? I am driving (even though I shouldn't be), doing errands (shouldn't be), getting stressed (once again....I shouldn't be). But it seems like no one helps, all I hear is...."you shouldn't be doing that. Ask for help" HELLO!!!! Who should I ask?? I found a great & supportive website though, hystersisters, a very supportive group. Also lots of great information & ideas!! So any post or pre hysterectomy patients out there looking for support, hystersisters.com

Jan 15
Busy 2 weeks. Work for me,I even took on a few extra shifts, and the kids back to school. This past week I spent Monday at CHEO then Tuesday at the Eye Institute, both for Brady. We will find out in a few months how these tests turn out.
I've begun reading a debt management book, it was written by the chick who hosts Til Debt Do Us Part. So far a very good book with great ideas. Hopefully this will give me the ideas & strength to save up the down payment for a house.
My french is not doing well, it is such a difficult language to learn. Still need to finish the L/O's I did at my friends place, once I get the final touches on them, it'll take me a week to post them. LOL

January 3
I spent all yesterday afternoon scrapping with a good friend. Man I miss our all day scrapbooking dates. But its a start to one of my goals. And she showed my a new technique using rubber stamps & foam. Another good start to my goals. Got back really late, last night.
Had to be up early for work today. Navigated my way through slippy roads to get to work & get home. As soon as I get pics of the L/O's I did yesterday I'll post them for the world to see. As for me....I've had an exhausting day.....going to have a relaxing bath in candle light. G'night.

Today is the first of the year......so many thoughts & ideas for the new year. So I'll start with my goals for this year & keep everyone updated on my progress.
1. Learn one new scrapbook technique a month.
2. Scrapbook with my friends more.
3. Exercise more regularly, 3 times a week.
4. Eat healthier.
5. Learn french.
Sounds great, huh.! It's only 11:40am & I've already had a huge breakfast & shortbread cookies. So much for the eat healthier goal, there's always tomorrow.
Kids are here, fixated on their DS's. Its going to be a LAZY day. Maybe I'll get to scrap later......
