The great snowstorm.

What a wonderful way to start the month of February, a snowstorm. So I had a Dr.'s appt & braved the weather, I am so very thankful that I know how to drive in this white stuff. Once home I spent 45mins shovelling my parking spot, my walkway & the neighbors walkway.

I was checking out one of my fav sites & was directed to another website that is doing a photo a day thing for the month of Feb. So I grab my camera, & headed out to get some pics of the snow today!! Check them out.

Penelope loves the snow, she runs & frolics in it. Her black fur gets covered in white snow. When she's out in the snow, you can definitely tell she's still a puppy.

I received my photo challenge for today, it is..."Capture your loved one at their best (or at their worst). Or both. What you’re trying to capture is the TRUE essence/expression/attitude/posture that SCREAMS your loved one! (and remember, your loved one can be ANYONE or any pet...and you don’t have to photograph the same person for each assignment)" Daniel's true essence is him playing his DS, but everytime I try to get a pic of him doing that....he looks up at me & smiles. Its so hard to get a very natural picture of him. So today I told him not to look at the camera & pretend I wasn't there. It worked...check it out.....

2011 Here I come

So the first week of the new year is almost done. I've been in the hospital, had a concussion, missed 2 days of work, & most of the week has gone by in a haze. Lovely. Maybe this is one of those get it done & over with things & the rest of the year will go by perfectly?? Ok, maybe not. But its nice to dream.

The week has been mild & then today....whoosh, a bunch of snow. Its so pretty, & exciting. Daniel will be begging to go to the hill to perfect his snowboarding skills. He's actually quite good. Check out the pics...
Videos coming soon!!

So even though I have not quite been myself, I managed to complete 3 scrapbook layouts. Well on my way for this year. Hoping to take a few classes at the Scrapbox. In between working & hobbies, I hope to get into a weekend workshop at the college. Maybe if I keep busy it will help me stay young. Ever notice how at the beginning of a new year you have a lot of ambitions & the excitement fizzles after a few months. The trick will be continuing to be positive about the changes.
